One of Liam's favorite things to do right now is climb stairs. Anywhere there is a staircase, he is sure to test it out.
While it would be quite fitting to post of photo of him climbing a staircase, I just couldn't resist sharing this photo. Here is a shot of Liam under the staircase outside of our apartment. He was checking the structural integrity of the stairs before deciding to climb, I'm sure.
Have a good weekend!

Trapp Family
Jessica Trapp is one of my dearest friends. We have been friends since junior high, we were roommates in college, traveled overseas together, were maid of honor in each other's weddings.... Needless to say, I love this girl. And her family.
Six months ago, Jessica gave birth to Uriah - who was several weeks premature. This little guy had a rough start. He was in the hospital for the first month of his life. Jessica and her husband, DJ, were faithful to make trips to the hospital several times and day and several times at night in order to feed and sooth their newborn son during his entire stay at the hospital. They actually couldn't even hold him for several days after he was born because he was so weak. I was so impressed by the patience and grace that the Lord gifted Jessica and DJ with during this stressful time.
Well, fast forward now 6 months and you would have never guessed that this little guy had been through so much! He is one chubby, happy and beautiful little man! I just couldn't get enough of his big smile and rubber band wrists. Praise the Lord for how He has cared for Uriah! I was so excited to have an opportunity to capture this family on my camera! Thank you so much guys for a great morning! I love you all so much!

Now we are working out that last bit of energy.... |

Modeling is hard stuff! He fell asleep immediately after we stopped taking photos. Of course, I had to get out my camera again to catch this. |

More Sneak Peaks!
This weekend was a busy one! Kyle, Liam and myself drove out to Cape Girardeau, MO for my sister-in-law's baby shower. While we were there we did a little maternity photo sesh. I also got to take some pics of a beautiful family that is very dear to me. It was a great weekend! Here is a peak at the two photo sessions:

Top Pic
Now that the weather has warmed up, we have been taking Liam outside to play quite a bit. And I must say, we have an adventurous little guy! He loves climbing. He loves running. He plays in dirt holes. Yesterday, a puppy tackled him and he thought it was funny. You get the point! Liam is all boy.
So, that means lots of bumps, scratches and bruises. Liam doesn't mind one bit though. It amazes me how much this kid loves to explore. He won't let a bloody knee get him down!
So, recently we were on a walk and all I could see was Liam's legs from the top of the stroller. His bruised, scratched-up little boy legs.
I thought I would share my point of view:

Bedhead Baby
Getting Liam out of his crib after he has wakes up from him nap is one of my favorite times of day with the lil' man. I love it mainly because Liam is super cuddly right after he wakes up, but also because he is typically in a great mood and he usually has some pretty interesting bedhead.
I have actually thought about creating a series of Liam bedhead photos. It seems like the longer his hair gets, the crazier the bedhead. In these particular photos the bedhead is under pretty good control but if I catch a particularly awesome bedhead photo op, I'll let you guys in on it.
Once I edited these photos, I noticed that one of them is very similar to a photo I took this past August of Liam in his crib. I compared the two and I couldn't believe how much he has changed in the last few months (and how my editing has hopefully improved since then as well..)! I forget how much older he looks until I start looking back at some older baby pics. I added the August photo for you guys to check out for yourselves.
Enjoy!

Those eyes get me every time! |

This is the pic from August. He was just tall enough to rest his chin on the edge of the crib. |

And now....he's so big! |

Mahaney
This week I got together with some of my fellow art buddies "art chix", aka the art teachers I used to work with, to catch up and have some baby time. One of the art chix had sweet little Mahaney this past fall. She is now 5 months old and I just couldn't resist taking a few photos of this little girl's porcelain skin and chubby cheeks! She was such a sweetie.

Doesn't she have stunning eyes? |
