Ashley and Evy

Meet Ashley and Evy, two very beautiful girls I had the honor of capturing with my camera recently.  And not only are these two beautiful, they were also a blast to spend time with.  Evy is a big Disney fan, which I totally love.  I mean, I'm the girl that drew pictures and wrote letters to Mickey Mouse as a kid....  And my father may still have Steamboat Willy memorized by heart because I wanted to watch the movie so frequently.  So, you could say Evy was a girl after my own heart.  She showed me how to fly like Peter Pan, she told me about the Princess Parties at Disney World and at the end of the shoot, we had fun shouting out the names of our favorite Disney characters.  And Ashley is a fellow photographer and homemaker (AND she is a fantastic interior decorator).  If I lived in Missouri, I would love to meet with this lady over coffee (or in my case - hot tea, not a coffee drinker) to talk kiddos, photos and hope some of her awesome decorating skills would rub off on me!

Ashley and Evy live in Southeast Missouri, which is where our photo shoot took place.  (Thank you Teegarden family for lending us your field for the morning!)  Ashley and her husband, Kurt, are currently on the journey to adopt a little boy, Liam (they have such great taste in names), from South Korea.  Hopefully, their little boy will be home in September!  If you are interested in learning more about this family's adoption journey, visit Our Adoption Tapestry.

FYI - I did not photo shop those blue/green eyes.  Crazy, right?
Little Evy knew just when to ham it up for the camera!  She was so sweet!
I love these yellow chair pictures with Evy.
She was modeling for us in the bottom photo.  Love. it.  Oh, I was thought I would try out some vintage editing with that pic, whaddaya think?
Dimples!
We even snagged a few photos of Ashley for her blog.  This girl should be a model!

Thank you Ashley and Evy for a fun morning!

Thomas+Marvin Finn Birds=BFFs

A couple weeks ago I met Thomas and his sweet momma, Ashley, at the Marvin Finn Sculpture Park in downtown Louisville.  Thomas is one of my son's besties, and since I know Thomas' personality pretty well I thought the sculpture park would be the perfect spot for our little photo shoot.  And....I was right!  He loved all the birds, and made sure to greet each one and attempt to feed them his crackers.  You just gotta love toddlers.  Anyway, here are some photos from that afternoon.

In typical toddler fashion, Thomas attempted to climb several of the sculptures.
He really loved the duck with multiple heads.  What a goof!

After our fun with the birds, we ventured down to the river front and stopped under this bridge for a few shots.  I love the industrial background.

I love these black and whites under the bridge.  P.S. - Can you tell that crackers were an important part of this photo shoot?

Thanks Thomas for being such a good sport!  You always know how to put a smile on my face!

And....I'm back!

So first, let me apologize for my blogging hiatus.  I'm now back in action!  Many thanks go out to Kyle's parents who are currently watching the little man this week, which has allowed me to catch up on A LOT of unfinished tasks.  Yikes!  Between house hunting, house buying, pregnancy, traveling, taking care of Liam, etc, etc - we have been pooped strapped for energy.

Despite my temporary abandonment of the blog, I have been busy the past couple weeks with several photo shoots.  So, I thought I would give you guys some eye candy while I finish editing all the photos.  Enjoy!

I loved this photo shoot with Thomas at the Marvin Finn Sculpture Park.  So fun!
I was also lucky enough to be able to catch up with the beautiful Welch family, who traveled to Louisville from Maryland to spend the 4th of July with family.
Thanks to my friends who allowed me to use their field so I could get some adorable mommy and daughter photos of Evy Kate and her mommy, Ashley!
Highlight of last weekend:  holding my sweet niece, Halle, pictured above.  Such a sweet smile!
