New Pretty Little Things

It's here!  After much personal anticipation, I finally got the custom CD and CD case I recently designed, delivered to my doorstep (by a very cheery mail-woman I may add).  And now that it has been mailed off to the lucky owner, I thought I would share it's beauty with all of you.

Isn't it adorable!?  See the texture?  Yep, that's a canvas finish.  Love it.

I love how the cover wraps into the inside of the case.  The CD case also has magnetic closure, which I personally think it pretty cool.

And this is just to give you a taste of what it's like working from home with a one-year old.   I'm sure Liam just wanted to help, right?  Well, in any case, this abruptly ended the CD case and CD's photo shoot.

So, you may recall me saying that I want to pimp my blog give my blog a more polished, cool and fun look.  You may also recall me saying that I want to start a website.  Well folks, I'm working on the website (which should be revealed pretty soon!) and I'm still in progress with the blog....but I think it's taking shape!  Along with my updates, I have also decided that I want to be a tad more committed to my blog.  Most of you all out there in blog world have all these cute, charming posts to celebrate particular holidays, I have also noticed some blogs have "pic of week", where you showcase your fav photo that you have taken that particular week.  Soooooooooo I figured, why not give it shot?

 This featured pic was taken while I was attempting to master flash photography, which I must add is really tricky.  Ugh.  Anyway, Liam was a champ while I experimented, even though I had to get on top off the hope chest in his bedroom to catch this shot (just to keep him from grabbing the camera lens!).

Seriously, I love this kid!  It's photos like this that make me think, "Wow God, how did I get blessed with this beautiful blue-eyed child?"

 
And, because I couldn't limit myself to just one pic, I thought I would share this photo as well...(even though it's not as much of a flash photography success.  Boo.)

Evan and Elise

Seriously, this couple is too cute!  And funny and personable and good-hearted....and the list goes on and on.  I first met Evan and Elise while I was teaching.  Yep, you guys are getting to know more of my former students and colleagues.  (Seriously, did I not work with some of the greatest kids and colleagues?) Evan and Elise were both students of mine.  Great students in fact, except for all the talking...  I know, shocking!  High school students talking too much in class!  Can you believe it?  Well, they were dating AND in the same class together.  What is a teacher supposed to expect?  Anyway, we had a little reunion over the weekend and in-between much talking and laughing (*much*) I got a few pics of the two. 

Thanks guys for such a fun day!

Addaleine and Josiah

Meet Addaleine and Josiah!  I recently had the pleasure of doing a little "environmental" photo shoot with these two little ones.  Although they are only 9 months old (and only several days apart in age from each other), these two were perfect little models.  No fussing or crying the entire time!  These little ones had a blast playing with their toys (aka chewing on their toys) and didn't even seem to notice I was there most of the time.  We had a great time!  Check out the pics!

"Hey!" - I think that is what Addaleine was expressing here.  They were pretty funny.

While making updates on the blog I thought I would share some eye-candy with you.  Here is a "never before seen" photo from a photo shoot my family had this fall with Julia Black of Black Tag Photography.  You may remember Julia from a post I wrote a while back.  But, if you don't remember her you should know this:  She is beautiful, talented, fun, a fellow photographer and well, she just rocks.  Check her out!

Oh yeah, and you should stare at my slideshow header for a while.  Because you may spot people you know.....and because it took me FOREVER to figure out.  And I'm proud of it.

Changin' it up!

I decided I was ready for a change from the old logo and decided to go with something a tad more updated and trendy looking....whatdaya think?  I'm still really new to this world of blogging and I gotta admit - I'm not really the best at researching how to create a super-amazing blog.  I usually like to spend my efforts researching photography and editing stuff.  However, since I have launched this "thing" and I plan on creating a website sometime in the near future....I better get my act together!  So, join me for the ride as I figure out how to pimp my blog create a cool, fun blog and website.
